SKILLED NURSING
Our Nursing Department participates in accommodating each individual with the highest quality of care in an atmosphere of compassion and understanding.
Each resident receives the utmost consideration; whether requiring a short term rehabilitation or respite stay, or a long term, comprehensive care stay. Our nursing services include:
- 24-hour care
- Registered nurses
- Licensed practical nurses
- Certified nursing assistants
- IV Therapy
- Wound care
- Pain management
- Infection control
LONG TERM CARE
Our entire staff is committed to providing quality care with respect and dignity all the days of our residents' lives. We offer:
- 24-hour nursing
- Restorative nursing
- Activities of choice
- Resident Council
SHORT TERM REHABILITATION
Our Rehabilitation Department offers an intensive individualized program by licensed therapists to assist our residents in achieving their highest level of independence. Our Rehabilitation Department also has a registered physiatrist on staff that meets with each resident weekly.
Our services are provided in our spacious therapy suite, in resident's rooms, or in our fully equipped furnished apartment. Our services include:
- Physical therapy (6 days per week as directed)
- Occupational therapy (6 days per week as directed)
- Speech therapy (6 days per week as directed)
- Enteral nutrition
- Vital stim
- E-stim for wound care
- Quality Home Assessments to ease the transition of our residents going back into their homes
RESPITE
Baldock Health Care Centre offers families a place to take their loved one for a short period of time. This can be for five (5) or more days. Respite care includes:
- 24-hour nursing
- Therapy as appropriate
- Activities
- Meals and snacks
- Medication
Families have the flexibility to take a break and know that their loved one is being cared for with a warm smile, the touch of a reassuring hand, and the genuineness of friendship; all while quality care is provided.
HOSPICE CARE
Baldock Health Care Centre offers additional services to the resident and family when facing a diagnosis of a life-limiting illness. Our social worker works with families in providing the necessary information needed to help this process go forward. A list of hospices that are available are given to the family so that a decision can be made to best meet the needs of the resident. Our support is available at all times during this process.
