Being a part of a community plays an important role in the self-esteem for all of us. Through our enriching social enhancements, our residents remain an important part of our community and maintain a sense of self-worth.
Communication
Keeping our residents connected to their community is important to them and to us. That’s why we provide:

Activities
Keeping our minds and bodies active is important for all of us. That’s why we offer a wide variety of social, recreational, therapeutic and spiritual activities and events for our residents. We even post a monthly calendar in each resident’s room.
Travel
We want our residents to always feel that they are important members of the community. So, transportation is provided for a full schedule of out-of-facility community events. Trips of special interest to you may include:

- Going shopping
- Visiting historic (traditional) community sites
We also encourage residents’ family members to join us on our trips
Church Services
For many of us, our faith gets even stronger and even more important in our lives as we grow older. That’s why we offer nondenominational church services on a scheduled basis and we welcome and encourage your family pastoral visits and participation.
Traditional Celebrations
Everyone, young and old, looks forward to traditional celebrations. Traditional celebrations are an important part of our daily lives. We plan special events or celebrations around birthdays, holidays, and other special moments. To make these celebrations memorable, we encourage your family, friends and community members to join us.

Our many activities result in special relationships and enjoyable moments for our residents and community volunteers alike. We are blessed with dedicated and caring individuals, groups and organizations that volunteer their time and services to enhance the quality of life for our residents.
HOSPITALITY SERVICES
During our residents’ stay with us, this is their home and we are their family. We want to make them feel wanted and important. We believe that our full range of thoughtful hospitality services truly does help our residents feel right at home.
A Foundation of Trust
Positive relationships are the result of open and continued communication and are the foundation of the trust you have with your care provider team. We value your willingness to share your suggestions and concerns in order to enhance the quality of life for the resident. We encourage you to discuss your concerns and suggestions with any member of our care provider team. Additionally, in order to further enhance our care and services, periodic satisfaction surveys are conducted.
Ambulatory Aids
For our residents who need help in getting around, we can provide wheelchairs, walkers and canes for their use during their stay. Should the resident need an ambulatory aid, please ask our staff. Residents are also welcome to bring their own aids from home.
Mail & Newspapers
Staying in touch with family, friends and current events is critical to everyone’s well-being. With that in mind, all of our residents’ mail is delivered unopened on a daily basis (except on Sundays and holidays) directly to the residents’ rooms. Additionally, daily newspapers are delivered to residents upon request. These newspapers must be purchased from the publishers and residents are billed directly by the publisher. For those residents who do not need to have the daily news delivered to their room, we have one available for them in our common area.
Personal Items
In order to make every resident feel more comfortable, we encourage them to bring furnishings from their home to help personalize their room. Please check with our director of customer relations or our administrator before bringing in any large items. All furnishings must meet state safety standards.
Physician Services
Each resident may have a physician of his/her choice.
Professional Services
For our residents’ ultimate health and convenience, we have contracted with local providers for the following services:
- physical, occupational and speech therapy
- podiatrist
- optometrist
- dentist
- pharmacist
- psychologist
- X-ray and laboratory services
Each of these services may be hired upon the request of the resident, resident’s family and/or physician.
