Concordia at Cabot is the birthplace of Concordia Lutheran Ministries and the headquarters of the organization. Since our humble beginnings in 1881, we have remained faithfully dedicated to those we serve, whether they are seniors, children, or anyone else for that matter. Banners throughout the Cabot campus carry the message “We put our Faith in Caring,” and that’s exactly what we do.

Located in the scenic country setting of southern Butler County, Concordia at Cabot offers the entire spectrum of healthcare-related services in one convenient location –and just 30 miles north of Pittsburgh. It’s that continuum of care that sets us apart from many other senior care providers.

The gorgeous, 167-acre campus is home to the Lund Care Center, Oertel Care Center, and Concordia Haven Apartments (retirement living). With one lake, four ponds, and miles of woodlands, the surroundings here will take your breath away.

Concordia at Cabot is an accredited Continuing Care Retirement Community. This campus also has a ten-bedroom, 6,500 sq. ft. Good Samaritan Hospice wing in the Lund Care Center, an in-house pharmacy (Providence Pharmacy), a childcare center, a full service durable medical equipment company (Concordia Medical Equipment), and the Concordia Community Professional Suite, which includes specialty doctors’ offices, X-ray facilities, and lab services. Concordia at Cabot's physicians are on staff at either Alle-Kiski Medical Center or Butler Memorial Hospital. Our medical director is board-certified in Gerontology and is an active member of our Quality Assurance Committee.

At Concordia, we put enormous value in safety and comfort. All of our buildings are secure, complete with emergency call devices and 24-hour nursing support. We are confident in our experienced, dedicated staff, many of who have been here for years.

Concordia at Cabot is a participating provider in Concordia Lutheran Ministries’ CARF-CCAC accredited Aging Services Network – one of only a few in the world.

SKILLED NURSING

Following an acute hospital stay, Concordia can provide skilled nursing/inpatient short-term rehab in one of our 196 beds in the Concordia system, 80% percent of which are in private rooms. Patients have the comfort of knowing that our nursing staff is experienced in orthopedics, wound care, intravenous therapy, diabetes management, and other post-acute services. The clinical staff and therapists work together with our physicians to develop a customized program for each individual.

At Concordia, we have spacious Physical and Occupational Therapy gyms with state-of-the-art equipment available in conjunction to one-on-one, hands-on therapy treatment. Our dedicated short-term rehabilitation team is in place to motivate, support, and increase the overall functioning of each patient. Our objective is to meet the needs of those individuals with the goal of getting them back to life as quickly as possible.

To enhance recovery, Concordia’s dietary staff provides delicious and nutritional meals and our activity staff provides therapeutic recreational activities. Cable TV service is provided in every room and most are equipped with free Wi-Fi Internet capabilities.

We encourage our skilled nursing and short-term rehab patients to participate in their daily care and to be proactive in their recovery. Our in-house social services staff is available to meet with patients and their family in order to stay informed of their progress and discharge plans.
