Welcome to the Country Meadows website. After 46 years in senior living we remain family managed and 100% family owned. Country Meadows was founded by my parents, former Pennsylvania Governor (1955-59) and Mrs. George M. Leader. Mother and Dad live in Hershey and remain active as advisors and board members.

My father has always emphasized the importance of developing lasting relationships with our customers and providing them with value â€œheaped up and running over.â€ My brother David (COO), brother-in-law Ted Janeczek (CFO) and I feel the same way. We feel so strongly about putting our residents and co-workers first that we adopted the following Mission Statement: Our mission is to help seniors lead Purposeful Lives and enjoy Independence, Friendship and Respect.

Independent Living
Provides maximum independence with the added ease of one meal per day, weekly housekeeping, freedom from household maintenance and access to staff 24 hours a day.

Assisted Living
Offers assistance with daily routines, three meals per day, and weekly housekeeping.

The William Penn Program
Designed for residents in need of rehabilitation/support services; also beneficial as permanent residency when chronic conditions exist.

Meadows Program (Alzheimer's/Dementia Care)
Focuses on the special requirements of residents with Alzheimer's disease by minimizing challenges and enhancing their remaining abilities in a secure environment.
