Experience our History

Kramms Watsontown CenterThe Watsontown facility, located at 245 East 8th Street Watsontown, was first purchased by Randall D. and Janet S. Kramm on October 1st, 1968. Prior to the purchase, it had been known in the area as the Werner Nursing Home and had a capacity of 24 beds. In 1977, this capacity was expanded to a total of 74 beds. An activity room, physical therapy department, extended kitchen, dining area, and two additional lounges were also added at this time.

The Kramms then extended their interest in long term care to the Milton area in 1983. Kramm Healthcare Center, situated at 743 Mahoning Street Milton, was opened on March 1st, 1983 with a total capacity of 122 beds. This facility has since seen an increase to a total of 138 beds.Kramms Milton Center

This building now has a capacity of 125 beds.

In 1999, the Kramm family also opened their own pharmacy and business office in Milton to better serve their residents. This office is currently located at 560 Broadway in Milton.

The Kramm BrothersThe Kramm facilities continue to be family owned and operated. In January 2002, the facilities were sold to Randall and Janet's three sons, Jeffrey, Steven, and Randall. The three siblings continue to be very active in the day to day operations of all three buildings.

Kramm Healthcare Center and Kramm Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center are both Medicare and Medicaid certified facilities. The organization is also an Associate Member of P.A.N.P.H.A. as well as a member of the Central Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce, the Watsontown Area Business Association (WABA), and is licensed by the PA Department of Health.

Our Philosophy

There are many circumstances which make it difficult for a person to receive adequate and dependable care in the home. Often family members work outside of the home and are not able to help a loved one who needs consistent care. For those who live alone, the recovery period after a recent hospitalization or surgery is difficult when you cannot get to your outpatient therapy or care for yourself. At Kramm Healthcare facilities, we strive to provide personalized nursing care and therapy in a pleasant, home-like atmosphere. Kramm Healthcare Center and Kramm Nursing Home are 'Rehabilitation Centers' as well as 'Nursing Care Centers' designed to help our residents and their families thrive at all stages of recovery or illness and to achieve the highest level of function and independence.
