Nursing Care Center
The RiverWoods skilled nursing facility employs a team of the area’s most experienced registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, geriatric certified nursing assistants and certified nursing assistants to ensure that our residents receive excellent care 24 hours a day under the supervision of nursing home administrator and director of nursing.
In addition, our skilled nursing facility offers a wide range of support staff to provide quality care and services to our residents. These services include food service, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance. We also provide services to meet the psychological and social needs of our residents. Our full-time chaplain provides spiritual support. Therapeutic recreation assistants organize daily activities, which include musical entertainment, lectures, discussions, sing-a-longs, parties, coffee fellowships, crafts, cooking and exercise programs.
The Nursing Care Center is divided into five units. Each unit specializes in meeting the needs of each resident and works to provide an opportunity for staff and residents to bond in an environment suitable to their care. The RiverWoods facility has units designed for those who need short-term rehabilitation and a secure unit for dementia/Alzheimer residents. Depending on resident needs, we can provide all levels of care, from moderate to extensive.

Our Nursing Care Center is conveniently located along Route 15 and River Road, just minutes from Evangelical Community Hospital, various medical offices and historic downtown Lewisburg. RiverWoods also offers an on-campus family health center directed by Dr. Douglas Spotts, MD.
