Scottdale Manor Rehab Center is comprised of dedicated individuals working together to provide the best possible quality of life for our residents. We are extremely proud of our staff, who have come to us with the compassion to care for those in need. One of the most important things we can do is provide quality care for our residents, by nurturing all aspects of their health.
Scottdale Manor Rehabilitation Center is a long term care nursing facility, and as such, is dedicated to meeting the physical, emotional, social and religious needs of our residents.
We believe that admission to the facility should be based primarily upon the need of the resident and the ability of the facility to meet that need.
We believe in the preservation and dignity of human life, and respect the end of life.
We believe that it is the duty and obligation of the facility to provide an environment conducive to maintaining and improving the quality of life of our residents.
OUR FACILITY
Scottdale Manor Rehab Center:
Scottdale Manor Rehabilitation Center, a 35 bed skilled nursing and rehab center is located in Scottdale PA. The Center reflects the character of the community in which it is situated, warm, friendly and inviting. A tradition of teamwork exists among our staff members. We offer our residents a comfortable and secure living environment. Scottdale Manor is dedicated to providing the continuous education and training that enables our staff to carry on the tradition of caring.
The staff at Scottdale Manor are dedicated to meeting the needs of the residents. Many services are provided in house, including physical, occupational and speech therapies, beauty and barber services, etc. Podiatry care, Dental care, Vision and Audiology care are also available. The daily menu is posted outside the dining room with alternatives available upon request. The dietary staff will accommodate special requests for ethnic style meals whenever possible.
The personal care needs of residents are provided around the clock by registered nurses, licensed nurses and nurse aides. Just as important as the daily physical and medical needs of the residents, are their social and recreational activity needs. Activity staff members organize a wide variety of activities designed to mentally and physically stimulate residents. A wheel chair accessible van is available to transport residents to scheduled activities and some other appointments. Monthly birthday and holiday celebrations are held regularly.
Scottdale Manor is an excellent source for those in need of rehabilitation, and long or short term health services.

We provide rehab services on-site and therapy is available five days a week. The rehab therapists work together with the medical director and the nursing staff to enhance the quality of the resident’s life by reshaping lost abilities and teaching new skills.
Rehabilitation provides each resident with the tools needed to function at their maximum potential in the least restrictive environment.
Through our skilled nursing facility, Scottdale Manor provides a wide variety of services and a caring staff dedicated to meeting each resident’s individual needs. Along with our staff, a medical director works with residents’ personal physicians to collaborate and oversee their health care issues.
Our Quality-of-Life Standard:
At Scottdale Manor we believe that the resident’s quality of life standard should be enhanced daily. Our facility features both private and semi-private rooms in a warm homelike setting. Daily activities and individualized one-on-one activities are part of our ongoing commitment to our residents.
SERVICES
Skilled Nursing
Skilled nursing care is available to those residents requiring 24 hour skilled nursing services. To be in strict compliance with state and federal regulations, many criteria must be met before a resident can qualify for skilled care. Once the criteria are met, the following services may be provided on a daily basis:
- Tracheostomy
- Respiratory
- Wound Care Management
- Suctioning
- Intravenous Therapy
- Parental/Enteral Feeding
- Rehabilitative Therapies
- Management of unstable conditions
- Intermediate Nursing Care
Within the skilled nursing facility, Intermediate nursing care is available to residents who need 24 hour supervision.
These services include:
- Assistance with activities of daily living
- Medication administration
- Wound and skin care
- Therapeutic and recreational activities
- Restorative therapy
Rehabilitation
Scottdale manor provides excellent on-site rehabilitation services for physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. This service is augmented with a Restorative Nursing program that begins when formal therapy is completed.
Nutritional Management
The meals are prepared on site in our kitchen and served either in the dining room or in the resident’s room. The preparation of special diets is overseen by the Dietary Manager.
Scottdale Manor Rehab Center offers a variety of services including:
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation training and certification program provided to any employee and anyone with interest in the community.
- Continuous inservice training to meet the growing educational needs of our staff.
- Our Quality Assurance program assists the facilities to meet all compliance and regulatory standards to maintain our excellent reputation for resident care.
