Silver Oaks Nursing Center, an Alzheimer’s care facility, is located in New Castle, PA, approximately 45 miles northwest of Pittsburgh and 85 miles southeast of Cleveland. This facility is within one to two hours distance by care to major health systems in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Silver Oaks Nursing Center is a 62 bed skilled and intermediate nursing care facility that is certified for both Medicare and Medicaid. We also have contracts with Security Blue and Three Rivers Health Maintenance Organizations.
Dealing with Alzheimer’s Disease can be lonely and frightening for both the person with the disease and those close to that person. Silver Oaks Nursing Center offers the most comprehensive program of care and treatment available. The staff is dedicated to restore and maintain the dignity and self-esteem of the resident with Alzheimer’s Disease through a supportive and caring environment.
All staff members including Registered Nurses, Practical Nurses, Certified Nurses Aids, Social Service, Dietary, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Laundry, Activities and Business Office personnel are dedicated to the needs of our special residents. On-site services include Physical, Speech and Occupational Therapy, dental and eye-care, radiology, laboratory, pharmacy, podiatry, and psychiatry.
Our highly specialized program emphasizes maintaining and restoring the highest possible level of function and cognition while promoting personal dignity. We accomplish this through carefully developing an individual plan of care and treatment for the residents by our team of highly trained specialists. Because of our secured environment, residents are afforded maximum freedom to move about feeling safe and secure. Our electronically controlled security system provides maximum protection while maintaining the resident’s dignity.
