For those with increasing health care needs, United Zion Retirement Community is proud to offer one of the most state-of- the-art nursing care facilities in the area.
Designed by award-winning architects, our 59-bed nursing care facility is designed with traditional values to offer quality nursing care in a soothing and home like environment.
At the United Zion Nursing Care Center the emphasis is on restorative care and therapy programs designed to help residents reach their maximum abilities, regardless of illness or disability. To this end, we provide on-site rehabilitation programs including physical, occupational and speech therapy. Our therapists are skilled in the latest techniques to maintain or restore an individual's physical abilities and, in turn to achieve emotional well-being.
Good nutrition is yet another important component to the health and well-being of an older person. At the United Zion Nursing Care Center, a licensed dietician, experienced in the nutritional needs of older individuals, supervises the preparation of meals that are nutritious as well as pleasing to the palate. Special dietary needs are also taken into consideration as a part of each resident's on going care plan.
Providing quality care in a loving and dignified environment is our foremost concern at the United Zion Nursing Care Center. Under the supervision of a medical director, our multi-disciplinary team of RNs, LPNs, and certified nurse assistants delivers the best possible care in an atmosphere of warmth and caring. Families, too, are considered an important part of the care planning and are kept apprised of the health status of their family members or loved one.
Although we have expanded our services, United Zion Retirement Community is committed to remaining the small, friendly and caring community for which we have become known throughout Lancaster County.
