Valley Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is dedicated to being the area’s preferred health care provider. We deliver high quality services and satisfaction for our residents, their families, staff and the surrounding community.
The former Valley Crest Nursing Home, established in 1960, was always know for its quality care and compassionate caregivers. Now owned by an experienced health care services provider, the facility continues to build on the tradition of delivering life-enhancing services.
Our warm and friendly community is conveniently located off I-81 and Rt. 309, near the Wyoming Valley Mall.
CARE OPTIONS
We understand individuality and the desire for independence, privacy and respect. Upon admission, we work with each resident, their family and personal physician to structure a personalized plan of care to make each day meaningful and ensure specific needs are fulfilled.
Short-Term Rehabilitation
Our comprehensive rehab program includes physical, occupational, and speech therapy. We help individuals recovering from a serious illness, injury or surgery regain as much of their physical abilities and independence as possible. Therapy can be beneficial in the recovery of:
- Amputation
- Arthritis
- Bone fractures
- Cancer
- Head injury
- Hip and knee replacements
- Neurological/neuromuscular disorders
- Parkinson’s disease
- Pneumonia
- Spinal injuries or surgery
- Stroke
- Viral infections
Long-Term Skilled Nursing
Skilled nursing services meet the needs of individuals who require regular care, but not hospitalization. Our goal is to promote residents’ optimal level of physical and social functioning in a comfortable atmosphere.
Respite Care
Respite care gives individuals peace of mind to take essential breaks from the daily tasks of meeting an aging family member’s needs, without compromising the quality of care they receive.
Hospice
Valley Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center works closely with local agencies to provide a special system of supportive care and services. The program supports the entire family, and addresses the physical, emotional, psychological, social and spiritual needs.

Outside our facility features birch and pine trees, gardens and vistas of the Wyoming Valley. Special summertime activities include cookouts and excursions to minor league baseball games to cheer on the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees and scheduled trips to Mohegan Sun.
Inside, our community features a glass solarium, comfortable lounges and a wide variety of activities for healthy living and social interaction. In addition to active women’s and men’s clubs, our community hosts the area’s annual championship Bingo Tournament for local nursing centers as well as Wii bowling and tennis tournaments.
