Founded in 1966, Vincentian Regency, in Allison Park—located just north of Pittsburgh, is operated by the Vincentian Sisters of Charity. We feel that there is a special warmth and a spirit of hospitality at Vincentian Regency. This hospitality is characterized by a smile and a person-to-person welcome, based on our concern for the personal comfort, privacy, and independence of every resident.

Operating under the auspices of Vincentian Collaborative Services, we provide compassionate care for the aging, and seek to be a healing presence—dedicated to a respect for individual dignity and the value of human life. Our primary concern is to create a family-like setting—a loving, caring atmosphere—which promotes the physical, spiritual, psychological, and social well-being of each resident.

At Vincentian Regency, our staff is committed to providing nursing home services for our clients with the highest level of professionalism.

STAFF

At Vincentian Regency, our staff provides quality-of-life programs dedicated to enhance the "joy of daily living."

These programs include:

• Pastoral Care—including the services of a chaplain and daily Mass
• Licensed social workers for residents and their families
• Recreational programs designed for a high level of resident choice
• Appetizing and nutritious meals created by our registered dietitian to meet the needs of all residents
• A fully equipped beauty and barber shop

The Vincentian spirit helps guarantee that these services will be provided in a Christian atmosphere by a staff committed to making residents feel welcome and secure.

At Vincentian Regency, training and education programs enhance the professional skills of a staff that exceeds state-mandated requirements. Ongoing educational programs include training in such areas as Fire and Safety, HIPPA and Confidentiality Regulations, Resident Rights and Behavior Management, Vincentian Mission and Philosophy, and many others.

It is the extra level of professional development and personal concern, however, that support our high professional standing among nursing homes, and lead to an excellent rapport with residents. To help us continue to provide the finest care, here are some initiatives in which our staff members are involved:

• Our Nursing Department is participating in two major Department of Health studies
• Our Social Service Department is pursuing several innovative projects
• Our Dietary Department is a service site for the Master Dietetic Program at Indiana University
• Our Activities Program has initiated a Computer Training Program for residents

All of this occurs in an atmosphere of genuine respect for the privacy and dignity of residents. Our staff cares such that "doing the extra" is common practice.
