About Our Center

Welcome
On behalf of our team of caregivers and support staff, thank you for considering our healthcare center. We offer a full range of medical services to meet the individual needs of our residents, including short-term rehabilitative services and long-term skilled care. Working with the resident’s physician, our staff – including medical specialists, nurses, nutritionists, dietitians and social workers – establishes a comprehensive treatment plan intended to restore you or your loved one to the highest practicable potential. Our goal is to provide quality care in a comfortable, compassionate environment, demonstrating on a daily basis our guiding principle of providing Quality Through People.

Overview
Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center accommodates 103 residents. Our physical, occupational and speech/language therapists are part of Kindred's Peoplefirst Rehabilitation Services division. They work with residents confronting a variety of conditions, from stroke to dysphasia to Parkinson’s disease, as well as conditions resulting from elective surgeries, multiple trauma or recovery from amputations. The rehabilitation team creates an individualized treatment program developed with the interdisciplinary team of nursing, social services, activities and dietary in consultation with your physicians. The team members’ objective is to play an integral role in helping you regain your health and reach your maximum functional ability.We also offer respite care, hospice services, and long-term placement.

We are the first free standing skilled nursing facility in Berks County to offer 6 days a week physical therapy and 7 days a week of occupational therapy to better position our short term rehab residents the best chance of returning home, faster!

Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly known as the Wyomissing Lodge, has been serving the greater Reading community and Berks County area for 30 years. We are proud of our homelike atmosphere and the quality care that our professional and courteous staffs strive to provide on a daily basis. Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a 2006 recipient of the American Health Care Association Quality Award.
